It’s the second time in one week I’ve forgotten to post. Yikes.
Yesterday Maile messaged the rest of faculty to let us know that a student of hers had brought some fruit in. She called them mountain apples. I was curious and searched the term on the internet. I read THIS article.
It was a fruit I had never tasted! How exciting! I got a couple so I could taste and also share with the eighth graders, who were in my room at the time.
They were good. It was sweet, soft, and juicy. The closest thing I could compare it to is a pear. I would definitely eat these again.
Huh. A new fruit? What is going on with the world? I’m off to read that article…..
