When I’m at home, I love watching the birds on my lanai. Denis has a great lanai… er… balcony… and I sit by it on the couch all the time, so I got some bird seed.
The first couple of days, I didn’t see any birds, but I did see that something had been picking at the seeds. Yesterday, I saw what it was.
It’s like a mongoose, but it has a shorter body and a bushy tail. I’m told they call it a “squirrel”. This is truly a land of exotic enchantments. I watched it for a while. I even got a little closer to see it better. It was pretty fearless. I think it really likes those seeds.
I do hope that birds find the seeds, but if all I get to watch is a squirrel, I’ll be happy. It’s really cute! 🙂
That was hilarious! Nicely written, Brad – I laughed out loud!
You’re funny Brad!
Squirrels are ALWAYS at our bird feeder or at least under it gathering dropped seed, because we have a contraption keeping them from climbing the pole.
Yesterday I watched three squirrels having a conversation while sitting on top of a chain link fence for at least 10 minutes. It’s these little pieces of entertainment that get me through each day.
