Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Landscapers’ Favorites

I seem to be talking a lot about things I see and do on my daily walk, but walking is just about all that I’m doing these days.

I’m always interested in what gardeners are doing in whatever place I’m visiting, and this place is no exception. I’ve noticed some super popular plants, and I wanted to take pictures of them for the memory archive.

The first is agapanthus or Lily of the Nile. I don’t know the specific variety, but it is definitely one particular variety that businesses and homes use in their landscaping. It’s absolutely beautiful. It’s gardener’s “blue”, which is actually purple. This picture with the blue sky in it leaves little doubt:

The other plant is a variety of rose. Again, it’s one variety that all the landscapers use. What I love about it is that these roses are not only beautiful… they’re fragrant! It’s a delicate traditional rose scent. I wish I had a way to share smells on this web page.

How glorious! I’m glad that you are in a place that has interesting foliage that inspires you, because soon you are coming to a region rich in dandelions and creeping Charlie.
