Taste Test

I was reading the internet the other day, and people were talking about things that aren’t as good as they once were. One of the things someone mentioned was ice cream, specifically Breyers. It really caught my attention. I used to love Breyers, but now I don’t even finish the cartons I buy. There’s one in my freezer now that I got in March.

As part of the comment thread, one of the people said that Tillamook brand ice cream tastes like Breyers used to taste. Yesterday, I got some.

I got vanilla, and ate it without any toppings. The Tillamook is much better than Breyers, but it didn’t knock my socks off. Maybe I don’t like ice cream any more. If I do need to buy ice cream, I would choose to buy Tillamook. But I think I would put toppings on it.

Interesting. I buy Breyers with the vanilla bean flecks, but have never eaten it plain – always with some sort of chocolate thing. Doesn’t Tillamook make cheese? Is that cheese ice cream??? 😉

We’ve been eating so much ice cream I’ve started joking (sorta) that my best friend through quarantine are a couple of dudes named Ben and Jerry. I’ve actually just started to make it instead of buy because we’re eating soooo much.
