I’ve gone walking on the beach the last couple of mornings. It’s beautiful out there before the sun heats things up.
I usually wear sneakers, because I don’t like getting sand and water all over my feet. Dirty. Ugh. Yesterday, I decided to try wearing slippers (flip-flops), and taking them off when I got to the beach.
Big mistake. My between-my-toes skin got sore from the slipper thong, and my bottom-of-my-foot skin got sore from the sand. I have really soft feet. I never go barefoot – always socks and shoes. I’ll definitely be going back to shoes on the beach.
I am sorry for your Lloyd-like, baby-soft feet. I think the two of you could work up some callouses together. He’ll be right over. 😉
Your experience sounds painfully familiar to walks I’ve taken down at Ocean City on occasion. Yet, wearing sneakers and socks just doesn’t seem or feel right to me either. Guess I need to learn to walk on my hands…
