I usually come to church early so I can work in my classroom a little. When I came in yesterday morning, I saw that someone had left something at my desk:
I recognized the handwriting right away. It was Diane! I saw her later in the morning. She said she visits some church members at a retirement home, and they get snacks all the time that they don’t want, so they give them to her. She often gives them to the food bank, but this time she thought I needed some. Thanks, Diane! They will be wonderful to have! Hopefully I won’t eat them all in one day.
Diane is a rock star! Those wafer cookies look sooooo tempting! What are those two things in the middle with a red banner?
They are mochi. It’s a chewy candy made with rice flour.
