Last time I went to the grocery store, I bought extra loaves of bread. I put them in my freezer. I went to the internet to see how I should properly thaw them. Most of the advice was complicated. So I left them in the freezer, and I take a couple slices out to toast them when I want.
But the main purpose of the bread is for lunch sandwiches. Hmm…
I decided to just use the frozen bread when I make my sandwiches, and let it thaw in my lunch bag. I worked! The bread is just fine – no weird texture or taste. And bonus – the frozen bread is much easier to spread things on!
I am a fan of keeping bread in the freezer, and how delightful that you have a sturdy shingle for your sandwich-making! That picture is hilarious! It’s like a magic trick. 😉
