Soap Sliver

I don’t think I’ve always done this, but I do it now, and it makes me feel terribly clever. When I get down to a small sliver of soap, I get out a new bar and smoosh them together. That way, the old soap doesn’t get wasted, and it’s easy to use it to the last speck.

I do that too! I used to save all the small silvers and add water to them, then make a new bar, but this is much easier.

The internet died in Seward this morning, so I am just now checking this.

That is so cool! My soap is down to a mere sliver, too, so big bar – here I come!

Don’t feel TOO proud of yourself now – this has been my trick for eons already, too. This does not prevent the two parts from separating during use, however, letting the sliver slip to the shower floor, thereby necessitating bending over in a tiny and possibly slippery space to retrieve it – but still worth it. Carry on!

Hehe… I’m sure I probably heard or read about it somewhere, but I feel clever for remembering.

There was a time I genuinely thought I had invented something that already existed:
I realized that baking soda, as a bicarbonate, would neutralize acid, and so I ate some when I had an acid stomach and it made me feel better. I thought I was a genius inventor until I saw the side of the baking soda box, where it said to use it as an antacid. Heh.
