Vaccination

I got the first stage of the covid vaccine yesterday. Hawaii just opened eligibility to new groups of essential workers, including teachers.

I registered on Saturday, and yesterday I went to the hospital to get the shot. The line was long.

It moved along pretty well though, so I was soon getting my shot. I got advice to take Tylenol immediately after the shot, then again eight hours later. It seems to be working.

My booster is in three weeks.

Hooray! Did it remind you of the boosters of your youth? I tell the kids, “Look at the light and keep your muscles soft and squishy. It will still hurt a little bit, but not as much.”

At least your long line was in a beautiful surrounding! 🙂

You brave guinea pig, you. Did they tell you which manufacturer’s vaccine they gave you? I understand you’ll need to get the second dose from that same manufacturer…MD is opening shots to teachers this week as well, but our school has had to go 100% virtual for a while (several positive COVID test results of late), so I’m not racing in until I can see how other bodies react to it, if you catch my drift. Praying all goes well…
