I love the new lamp in the corner of my living room, but turning it on is a bit of a drag… I have to reach across the tv tray holder, then find the little turn-switch thing, then twist it twice to get the light to come on.
So I ordered a step-switch. It’s awesome! Yay for economy of motion!
We’ve been putting wemo outlets all over and then just use our phone to turn switches off and on. When I worked in the office, I could turn lingers on and off from there and confuse the kids. 🙂
I don’t even want to know what ‘lingers’ was supposed to be. Super-funny as-is. 😀
I am a huge fan of economy of motion! I would recommend leaning a stick against the sofa so you can smack it if you are already on the couch.
Stupid autocorrect!! 😀
What about using one of those Christmas light adapters – our b-i-l uses them for his living room because of the mega-decorating he does. If you plug them in to the outlet and them plug the wire from the lamp, etc., into that box, using a remote clicker thingy all you do is point and click. Magic.
…though it does appear you have solved your challenge for now, so as Emily Litella used to say: “……….never mind.”
