The plants on my lanai suffered a little in my absence over the summer, but they are back in full force now.
My lotus has a flower bud! Woo hoo! It budded right before I left for the summer, so I didn’t get to see the flowers. Now I will.
My stapelia gigantea is also budding. Those flowers smell like a dead animal, so that won’t be fun, but they are spectacularly large and hairy.
And last but not least, my hibiscus had five flowers on it yesterday. I think that’s a new record! I had trouble getting them all in one picture, but I think you can see them here:
Congrats on the blossoms! I am glad that you are back to tend to your garden, a.k.a. Your Happy Place. (I just watched the Bob’s Burgers where he is in his Happy Place – the community garden – but it doesn’t work out so well for him.)
