After great church and Bible class yesterday morning, I headed to my mom’s house for eggs goldenrod. Mmm… so good…
We chatted a while, and then she called the stage theater in town to see if they had any last-minute tickets available for their production of “Arsenic and Old Lace”. They did! And it was starting in ten minutes! We were there in five.
The building used to be a church, but is now a full-time theater space. So cool!

There was dessert before the show. We missed that part. We just came in, and the lights went down, and the show started.
It was really good. I don’t remember if I’ve seen this play before. I liked it. It was fun.
After the play, I went back to Lloyd and Lauren’s for a little hangout time and some dinner. It was an awesome Sunday.
How cool to see the inside of the theater! I’m glad you got to go, and I think I see a lot of people I know in the audience!
Pray tell – what are “eggs goldenrod”? We big city kids don’t get out much, you know…
This DID sound like a fun Sunday, enjoyed with dear family. May the rest of your visit be as heart-warming.
Hey, I saw that show on Friday! Two cast members, Chloe and Jackson Wells, were in the class of 2020 with Johnny and me at St Paul. Chloe was Officer Klein and Jackson was Dr. Einstein.
I was in that play back in my high school days. My character was the nephew, but my brother got to play the part of a dead body in the window seat. At the end, when I was supposed to say the line “I’m a b*st*rd!” to my finance’e I refused. After a sharp conversation with the teacher-director, we negotiated an alternate line of “Did you hear that??? I’m not a Brewster!” It was a fun play to be in, and I’d love to see it from the audience some time.
I thought you were in that! Were you also in Flowers for Algernon?
