I suppose there are down sides to aging, but I have found it to be really cool. Such amazing a weird things happen with your body – hairs in weird places, strange aches that take you by surprise, forgetting something you’ve known for a long time – it’s all so interesting!
Yesterday I had a new weird thing happen. I was cutting my toenail, and it broke the clippers. Like, the metal of the clipper broke instead of my toenail being cut.
That’s like a super power or something. I could be Toenail Man, and fight crime with my super-hard toenails. A criminal would shoot a gun at me, but I’d deflect it with my toenail – “Preoww!” (that’s the ricochet noise… I’m not sure how to spell it)
I’m so looking forward to see what other super powers my increasing age will grant me…
Your attitude made me smile. Whereas breaking a clipper with my toenails would most likely make me cry hysterically, you found the joy in a new “super power”. Good for you, Brad. Now wait – the fun is just beginning……
