Yesterday, our school choirs and handbell choir performed at Knotts Berry Farm, an amusement park in the area. We came to school in the morning, then headed to the park, then sang on this stage:

The one of the themes of Knotts Berry Farm is Old West. This stage is part of that section. So is a loud roller coaster with screaming occupants that thundered by the stage every few minutes. It was weird placing for a roller coaster and stage.
After we sang and rang, we had the rest of the day to explore the park. I went with a group that went to a dropping tower thingy first, then to a roller coaster, both of which I did not ride. Then we went to lunch, where some ducks came to eat the cornbread that people were throwing to them.

I did join the river rapids ride – big round boats that splashed water on you. I got pretty wet.

It was a fun day. The weather was mild, the music performances went really well, and the rides were fun. Life is good.
Was that your school’s theme this year? “Fun, but Exhausting?”
I was about to ask the same thing, Lauren! Were I young enough and needed a school again, I’d pick Brad’s. All play and no work, it would seem 😉
