Yesterday was our last day with the kids. It was loud and happy. I got a lot of nice cards from kids. This was one of my favorites. It’s a drawing of me teaching History:

There’s a second layer to the drawing. I’m not sure how it works exactly, but it’s interesting looking:

Today we start our work days. Some of them are less structured, and some of them have meetings planned. My big task is to get my room ready for a new ceiling and new lights.
Now I simply must know the story from history depicted in those drawings!! There seems to be a king, a queen, a rake tilling the earth, a flying meat cleaver shot with an arrow….so many questions!
Happy work week. Get reacquainted with the wonderful colleagues you are normally too busy to chat with during the school year. Enjoy!
Hooray! You’re on the other side!!
That drawing is well-done and fascinating. I’m impressed with the kid’s skill, and I’m with Carol – so much history jam-packed into one lesson!
Re: ceiling and lights? Everything in the middle of the room with a tarp over it all.
