Resort and Relaxing

Yesterday first thing in the morning we went to the buffet breakfast. It was good, but I didn’t take any pictures. There were a lot of people, and I felt weird about taking pictures.

After that, we headed to the pool. The hotel actually has a lot off different kinds of water options. The first thing we tried was the lazy river. You float on a tube, and the current takes you in a circle.

We wanted to go to the water slides next, but they weren’t open yet, so we headed to the main pool. After hanging out there for a bit, we went back to the water slides.

It was fun, but it was too long of a wait in line for too short of a ride. Plus, there were a lot of kids there and not many adults, so I felt kind of weird.

We headed inside and got dried off, and then it was time for lunch. We decided to go to the rooftop restaurant. It was a fancy restaurant, but we had Philippine pesos to use up before we left. It had an expansive view.

We ordered fancy salad…

…and clam chowder that they actually made, and didn’t just take out of a freezer and microwave…

…and pizza with lechon kawali (roast pig) on it

They were all so delicious!

Then it rained. I walked around a little, but it was hard to find places to walk that weren’t out doors, and the rain was making my feet wet.

After some relaxing room time, we headed to the lobby, where there was a low-key area to have happy hour and some nachos. It was a nice end to the day.

We had some fun experimenting with the “portrait” mode of our phones:

I'll probably be sleeping a lot today. I leave pretty early.

We fly back to LA today. Here is the flight info:

United Airlines #33
Depart Cebu 9:15am
Arrive Narita 3:20pm

United Airlines #33
Depart Narita 4:45pm
Arrive Los Angeles 10:55am

We leave at 9:15am on Saturday, and arrive at 10:55am on Saturday. Ha! Time zones are weird.

What a great end to your trip! Looks lovely….only one question:

So “pork” is “roast pig” there? How did a pork pizza taste?

    Happy time traveling!

Ahhhhh… a good ending to an incredible trip. I’m so glad that your last day ended with something nice like swimming in a pool instead of trekking across the country nonstop. What incredible memories you have made!

You are in the air right now and I’m praying you both home!

A year ago, I went to a conference with a coworker in Frankenmuth MI. We stayed at a hotel with a waterpark and ended up going as two middle age dudes on all the rides. It was super weird, but we had a great time!
