To Target!

Last night at 11pm I felt really sleepy. It had been a pretty good day. After a meeting day at school, I came home and worked in the garden a little. Then I watched a little TV. I haven’t been keeping up with my Doctor Who recordings, so I watched an episode. After playing on the computer a little, I thought that since it was around 11pm, I should probably go to bed.

Then I looked at the clock. It was 8:30. Sheesh! It used to be fun to go to bed super-early every once in a while as a special treat. But to go to bed every night at eight-something makes me feel like an old man. I decided to make a trip to Target. It would still be open, and I could amuse myself by looking at a nice variety of products.

The Target I usually go to has recently undergone renovations. The bathrooms got moved to a new location and got all new fixtures. Among the upgrades were new hand dyers. They were Xlerators! I had seen them before in Lincoln. Lauren documented it. My comment makes me laugh. Especially considering the picture I took last night.

Behold the power of the Xlerator!

It reminded me of my old astronaut days.

Heh. If only it had the power to straighten those bottom teeth. Heh.

So what time did you end up going to bed?

Sometime in the last two years our Best Buy redid their bathrooms and got the same kind of hand dryers. They’re so neat! 🙂 How do I know it’s been in the last two years, you ask? I don’t have to take potty breaks in stores when I’m not pregnant.

HA!!!! You are the bravest man I know! Did you worry about someone walking in while you took the picture?

By the way, I got ready for bed at 9:20, and I was excited about it. I guess I’m truly in the ‘old lady’ phase.

I was excited about my 9:00 pm sleep, too. Although I woke up at 4:00. Stinkin’ 4 AM. And I can’t take a nap today.

But I will get all trained up for a backpacking trip. And my friends invited us over for dinner. So, I’ll count my blessings. And stifle a yawn.

Oh! What episode of Doctor Who did you watch?

    • Brad

It was where he and Donna were in Pompeii.

      • Lauren

Ah, yes. It wasn’t a volcanic erruption, people! It was damage to protect us from aliens!

I wonder if dentists have thought about using this as an alternative to those nasty plastic things that pull your lips away when they have work to do!

Seriously Brad – you could have scared a small child!

[I was thinking t he same thing, Michele…followed by “Let’s start collecting some bail money, people – I think somebody’s gonna need some soon!”]
