Prepared

Happy Mother’s Day! Yay!

Yesterday I went to the big mall south of here. It’s called Arundel Mills Mall, and it’s very nice. Plus, many of the stores there are outlet stores. As I walked the loop, I didn’t really have serious goals. I did look for a new gardening hat at the sporting goods superstore. I didn’t see one I liked. I also looked for the Crocs Axle shoe. I was thinking about it as a possibility for a new walking shoe, so I wanted to see it in person. No luck.

I also stopped in at Banana Republic. They are the makers of my favorite shirt, so I thought I’d look around. There were a few things I liked, but they were too expensive, so I went to the clearance. And there they were: more shirts like my favorite one, but in different colors. I searched to find my size and snatched them up… a blue shirt and an off-white shirt. AND they were only six dollars and something. Awesome! When I checked out, the total was smaller than it should be. Why? Because clearance items were 40% off. I got my shirts for $4.18 each. Super awesome!

It was a good trip to the mall.

I am SO prepared for the next dress down day.

Since you’re a mall lover and I’m not, would you PLEASE take my daughter with you next time? I’ll pay you!

You love blue, don’t you?! It seems I always see you in your blue sweater on the days you don’t wear the usual shirt and tie.

What a steal1 You could layer those shirts and roll up the sleeves – just like we did in the 80’s! (At least I did – with t-shirts and neon-colored socks.)

And gee, he could even curl his bangs up really high like we did, huh?

Isn’t that horse shoe getting a little uncomfortable by now? Honestly!

Heh. I get it now. It took me a few minutes…but I get it. Heh.

Brad, you put the rest of us gals to shame – what a STEAL at the mall, and bragging about that for God and everyone to see/hear about! Are you sure ya’ really have a “Y” chromosome? If I didn’t know you actually enjoy visits to Restoration Hardware, I’d be skeptical.

Good for you, though. Seriously. That even tops my $8 Wal-mart denim jumper from years ago that was on sale then marked down when I checked out. I had felt pretty good about that purchase until now…seems you set a new standard to reach for. [Is it cheating to visit Goodwill or Salvation Army stores to try to beat your price?]
