Though it didn’t make my list, I have always wanted to assemble one of those 3-D wood puzzles that make animals or dinosaurs. But I’ve never taken the time to do it. On Saturday, when I was with Daniel for the Pokemon match, I browsed the hobby store we were in and decided to buy one thing. It was hard, because I liked almost everything there. But I ended up getting a 3-D wood puzzle of a fish.
Yesterday I put it together. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, but it took a while because the way the pieces were numbered was confusing. Lauren helped by punching the pre-cut pieces from the boards, and by taking art shots of me working:
The completed puzzle is cool. Except there isn’t really any practical use for it. Maybe it would be a good theft deterrent: I could leave it on the floor and thieves would trip over it in the night.
I say we dip it in paint, or see if it will float in the neighbor’s pool! I was amazed at how thoroughly you followed those crazy directions. Everyone should see a picture of those. You are far more patient than I.
I love it!! It’s really cool looking! I think it would make a lovely decoration in your home….course they may not let you on the plane with it……what with its
multi-weapon contraption look and all.
How long did it take you to assemble?
See along with me:

That looks like it would burn nicely.
Was that too harsh? rereading it, it sounds like it might be too harsh. What do you think?
Hehe… not harsh. I thought about burning it too – all those small pieces and air pockets would make a bright burn.
HA!!
(not too harsh–it’s funny—well, it’s funny as long as you have a sense of humor……& way to go giving such practical advice!)
It is indeed beautious…and needs painting…with many bright colors…before burning.
😉
It has an uncanny resemblance to the alien in the movie Super 8 !
: )
