I stopped by Home Depot to look at faucets for my bathroom sink. While I was there, I walked through the garden center because I always walk through the garden center. I wasn’t really looking for anything specific, so I almost walked past it:
When I saw the distinctive round leaves, I almost couldn’t believe it. They were selling pilea peperomioides plants! I had one back in Baltimore, but had to leave it behind when I moved to Maui. My favorite mail-order place sells them, but they’re kind of expensive. At Home Depot, they weren’t. Yay! I got one:
Serendipity! What a happy surprise! That plant really is quite striking.
I would imagine that your garden center is lush and green all year long. No pallets of ice melt and various grades of snow blowers, eh?
Oh the fantastic foliage find! I love it when that happens! Just beautiful! It was meant to be!
I’ve been taking good care of your left behind plant. I have reported and shared several babies! I think they will forever be Brad’s plants.
Yay! I’m glad to hear the plant is doing well, and that it’s multiplying. The one I bought had two babies growing in the pot as well. 🙂
