I posted back in January about some chickens we would see around school. That particular chick made it to adulthood (I think). Now there is a new hen with new chicks. She used to have six. Now she has three. It’s a hard life.
Anyway, the chickens came really close to Chloe and I while we were out taking temperatures before school. I ran to get my “chicken peanuts” that I keep in my classroom. They’re old peanuts that were leftover from lunches. I keep them around just to feed chickens, which you are NOT supposed to do. Feral chickens a such a pain and should not be encouraged. But they’re so cute!
The silhouette of that mama chicken is like a gourd on sticks. I had to do a double-take. Those chicks are adorable! I say take them in as pets. 😀
