Brent and Sandra are here visiting! Yay! So exciting!
They arrived yesterday right after school. I picked them up and we went to my place. They had heard food trucks are a great place to eat here on Maui (which is very true), so we went to one for dinner.
While we were waiting for our food to come out, I kept seeing this sign:
It reminded me of the movie Elf, where he saw a sign that said best coffee in the world, and he went into the diner and said: “You did it! Congratulations! World’s best cup of coffee!” I kept thinking it would be funny to say that to this food truck about their chocolate.
Instead, I went over and said: “I’d like to get some of the best chocolate in the world.” The guy smiled, but then went on to show me the flavors he had and to talk about how good the chocolate was and why.
I walked away with two bars.
The were most delicious. The goldenberry one had bits of sour in it. The other bar was dark and chocolaty and salty. Mmm…
I haven’t tried all the chocolate in the world yet, so I can’t say it is the best, but it certainly is very, very good.
Well, the sign didn’t say ‘best tasting’, so maybe it’s just really good at other stuff, like being vegan and having such attractive packaging. It’s nice that it tastes good, too. 🙂
