Pastor Parting

Yesterday was our pastor’s last Sunday with us. He accepted a post as chaplain in Georgia. He trained as a chaplain a couple of years ago, and really feels the call of the Holy Spirit to serve in that area. He will be a great blessing to those he ministers to.

We had a social time and celebration in between services for him. I forgot to take any pictures, because I was in the moment, but here’s a picture of something he gave me from his office. It’s a picture of Jesus’ face that is made up of other pictures from his life. I saw it on his shelf, and said that my mom really liked that design, and he gave it to me. Good-bye, pastor. We will miss you.

On a related note, if you know anyone who would be open to a call to a church in Maui with a strong and healthy school, let me know.

I’ll bet Caleb would. You’d have to wait a couple years. Or maybe Davis?

*sigh* I am sorry he is leaving, but I am glad that he will still serve the Lord. I’ll pray that God sends someone, and I’ll ask around to see if it might be anyone I know.

Very cool picture of Jesus, too. It’ll be a great conversation starter with the children.
