As I was walking from my classroom to the office, I went past this:

I was fascinated that nearly all the letters were written backward. At first, I thought someone was trying to do it on purpose. I tried to read it backwards to see if there was a secret message. It’s gibberish, so I decided it must’ve been a little kid. I wondered if it was some kind of developmental thing to write letters all backward.
Yes, it is a developmental thing. 🙂
Yep, developmental, and I am going to guess that the child is left-handed, too. The natural motion is to write away from your body.
When I first started teaching preschool I freaked out when Elizabeth (left-handed) did this consistently. I thought I had a child with dyslexia or something.
