Smelling and Eating

Weekends are open house times for the house market. Yesterday I went to four houses with my realtor, and three others without her. One of the houses had a garage with walls that were just beams of wood. It was warm in there, and there was a dusty smell that was exactly like the barns and machine sheds at my Hummel grandparents’ place. It was amazing!

I stood in there and smelled it for a while. Fortunately, there were other people at the open house, so the hosting realtor was distracted.

I was hungry after the open houses, so I went to Chick-fil-a. Yay! My first visit there since coming back to the mainland! It was delicious.

That garage reminds me of Beth and Harold’s! It’s amazing how smells can transport a person back in time. I hope you enjoyed looking at the houses!

Ahh, the smells of life. What a memory trigger and yummy wood/barn smells.
