Dressing Like Dad

This week in school has been called HERO week because of the acronym of some school safety lessons we’re doing. Along with the lessons, we’ve been having some dress-up days – Bible heroes, historical heroes, fictional heroes… Yesterday was personal heroes. I dressed like my dad. I have a ring, tie, and necklace that used to be his, and I wore them yesterday. It helps that my hands look like his too. Hehe…

Sweet…I appreciate the CUNE logo on the tip of the tie, too. He would undoubtedly be proud.

[While I had always been told how much I looked like my Dad, I doubt I could ever pull off dressing like him: tattered collar on a white work shirt (when he passed there was a drawer filled with unopened new shirts – he just wore one until it practically fell apart…), blue jeans for work days – but the receding hairline would have been the toughest to pull off, I think. 😉 ]
