Last night in lieu of an Advent service, we had an event called “Carols and Cocoa”. We sang carols in the church, then went next door to the gym and had cocoa with all kinds of fun ingredients to add.
I played the piano for the carols. It was fun and energizing. There were lots of school kids there, and when it came time to call for the next carol, they were shouting and excited.
I was at the end of the line for cocoa, so most of the ingredients were gone, but there were still marshmallows. Mmmm… cocoa with marshmallows…
How fun! I think I could get on board with an evening of carol singing! Also, how good of you to not leave them singing a cappella at the end and dashing away to get a fancified cocoa. 😉
