Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

There is the stump of a rose bush in front of my house. I think it must’ve been really overgrown, and the previous owner cut it down.

I plant to dig everything out of the planter and replace it, so I haven’t been tending it, but it’s been raining a lot, and the rose bush has a bud.

This is almost certainly an “iceberg” rose. It’s the most popular variety in this area. It’s disease resistant, quite floriferous, and has fragrant flowers. Nice!

I still think I’ll be taking it out though. I’m thinking I want more symmetry in this planter…

Life…. finds a way. If you dug it up and put in on the curb, would someone take it or is everyone in California good for plants?
