Yesterday at church we didn’t have our regular service. We sang a little, then prayed a little, then we packed lunches for a local shelter. It was cool.
We decorated bags and made cards to include inside the bags, then we split into stations for the lunch packing. I was among the sandwich-makers. I had a great chat with my sandwich partner while we were working.
By the end, we had made a whole bunch of sack lunches. The shelter will hand them out tomorrow.
Well, that is awesome! What a blessing to the community! I pray that it fills their stomachs and their souls!
Very cool. Being Jesus to the community is never a bad idea. 🙂
