It was an amazing Thanksgiving. It started with an unhurried exit from bed, and then some time on the couch watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade:
Bruno was excited to sit on the couch with us.
On Wednesday, some long-awaited iris roots arrived, and I’ve been very excited to plant them, so I did that in the morning. They don’t look like much now, but in the spring, they’ll have gloriously grape-scented flowers!
While I was out there, I saw another thing I was thankful for. My freesias are starting to sprout!
I had gotten up early to put the turkey in the oven, and it came out wonderful and delicious!
Beth gave me some turkey gloves, but I couldn’t find them, so I got new ones this year. It really makes getting the turkey off the bone so much easier:
The meal was delicious!
The company was delightful:
And, there were leftovers! Woo hoo!
After eating, we all napped. ahh, so nice….
