When I went to the mall this past Sunday, I got new shoes for the summer. I hadn’t worn shorts since I don’t know when, and when I put some on before going out on Sunday, I realized the only shoes I could wear are the ones I use when I exercise.
So I got new ones:

They’re sort of sneaker-y, but made of nice leather-like material. The only problem is their sole support is nonexistent. It’s like walking on a piece of cardboard. Fortunately, I have fancy insoles in my old sneakers. These new shoes will be crazy comfortable. And they were only twenty bucks!
Snazzy! And what a deal!
Good thing you had the insoles. I dislike shoe shopping and often think of Douglas Adams’ write-up (I forget which book) where a society falls apart because they keep making shoes that are worse and worse and eventually the people evolve into birds because they can’t walk. 😉
