Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Several Sites

After sleeping in, I visited some familiar places yesterday.

I started with breakfast at IHOP. Mmm…. Then I went down the street to Goodwill.

My big goal was to go upcountry. I went the back way, which is winding and beautiful. It starts by going past these giant, beautiful, (dead) trees.

I wanted to stop at Kula Hardware, because they have a wonderful nursery. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it, but I did take a picture of Third Day Nursery – a succulent nursery I used to go to all the time:

It was gone! It’s been gone so long the grass has even grown to cover the whole space. Dang.

Next, I went back down to Kahului to visit two other nurseries:

It’s Lowe’s and Home Depot! I used to go there all the time. It was fun to look at all the plants. There were many native Hawaiian selections.

I was invited to a happy hour, but had a little time, so I headed to the mall. There were two places I wanted to visit. One was Ben Franklin, which I went to a lot for school craft projects.

The other one was the book store of the Maui Friends of the Library.

It was so fun to walk around inside. I even found a DVD for my classroom. I think. I’ll have to watch it again to make sure there’s nothing inappropriate to it.

My evening ended with happy hour with Desi, Jordynn, Zach, and Jacob. We met at Ale House. I have had a lot of fun times there.

What a sweet memory walk that is – those are some cool places! (Sorry about the succulent nursery being gone.)

How much longer do you get to stay?

Oops. You asked that question before. I’m sorry I didn’t answer. I’m leaving on Monday. Two more days here.
