Food and Fun

I started the day yesterday by going to the swap meet. I thought I might buy a plant I saw there last week, but instead I bought some quilted pillow covers that will look good in my bedroom with a quilted wall hanging I got from this same booth two years ago.

Next, I headed for the Maui Tropical Plantation. I wanted to feed the ducks and fish.

There was a kingfisher bird there

So I decided to play the game where I throw fish food into the water right in front of it to help it catch a fish. I won!

After resting at home a bit, I headed to Monkeypod restaurant to meet Josh and Koryna. Delicious food, conversation and laughter – it was awesome.

Plus, I found out they sold the candle holder thingies on the table. Mom had said she wanted one when we were there on Thursday, so I got one!

Another short time at home, and I was out again for happy hour with Liz and Grace. It was fun to catch up with them.

One can never say you don’t squeeze every possible activity into a visit somewhere. Good for you! Now you can return to sunny CA all refreshed and ready for the new (DON’T SAY IT!! Too early…)

If you teach a bird to fish……. Thanks for helping the little guy out. 😉

Another delightful, relaxing day! What a glorious time you are having in a very soul-restoring place. I’m glad you get to soak it in, and enjoy church today!
