Retired Raiment

Happy Reformation Day! Happy Halloween!

One of my grading pens went through the wash. A few items of clothing were speckled. One item was a polo shirt I’ve been wearing for many, many years – maybe twenty?

I think it is the most-used item in my entire wardrobe. It’s from Joseph A. Bank. I think I got it from the actual store in downtown Baltimore.

It is a shirt of incredible quality, but it has some frayed edges. The ink speckles helped me make the decision to retire it. Good-bye, old friend. You served me well.

    Excellent title. Sad story.

What a testament to the quality of that shirt! I doubt there are many items made that well anymore.
