It was a good day of conferencing yesterday. We had a keynote speaker in the morning. She talked about thinking about problems in a different way. It was interesting and helpful.
Next, we had our breakout sessions. My first one was mostly information I knew already. My second one was interesting, but not what I expected. It was about young adults taking a journey through doubt, in regard to their faith. Not super applicable to my situation, but still fascinating.
By mid-day, it was clear that I was sick. Coughing and runny nose. I went to the hotel gift shop for medicine. They had these cute (and ridiculously expensive) single-dose bottles of DayQuil.
In the evening, we had the banquet. Look at this fancy dessert:
After we ate, there was a comedian. It was fun. Then a little hang-out time with my co-workers. Then bed. I coughed a lot before I slept 🙁
Ugh. Sick for a conference – that is the worst. I am so sorry. At least you had a beautiful cake to comfort you. Look at those dots!
I hope you feel better very, very soon. Like, right now. (No one has Hotel Medicine kind of money. )
Day Quil saved our recent vacation, as I got a doozy of a head cold while we were in Tennessee but was not really unable to function normally to enjoy everything there. Sorry it was so costly, but if it kept you going to enjoy the conference
