My upward-slanted toenails continue to cut holes in my socks. It means I have to replace them regularly. I have streamlined my process:
I get a pack of new socks – say a six pack or something. The small numbers help me keep track of what I do next. I put on a new pair of socks on Sunday for church, and I wear that same pair for a week. (My feet superpowers allow me to do this.) On Saturday night, I toss the socks in the clothes hamper, and get a new pair the next morning. The washed socks go in a line in my drawer, so that I systematically wear each pair of socks. All the socks start showing toenail holes at about the same time, so I replace them all at once with a new set.
This weekend I did a replacement. The new socks are wonderful!
Your writing style always brings a smile to my face. When I first read about the replacements, I honestly thought you replaced those ‘nails weekly and wondered how that was even possible! Obviously, I misinterpreted….
BTW, Thurman’s feet and nails are similar that way. It now explains the myriad of paper crew socks wrappers I have found in our recycling bin over the years, I guess.
That is, in fact, a brilliant system!
Packing must be so easy for you – not having to bring extra socks, or just one other pair. I wish I had your superpower….
Why am I the only one concerned about wearing the same pair of socks for two consecutive days, much less a week?
He really does have magical feet – no sweat, no smell. It’s like he’s a mannequin.
Still a no for me dawg.
This super power is genetic. We get it from our Grandpa Hummel.
(Whether Brent has it has not been researched.)
