Fire

There are some big fires happening around Los Angeles right now. So much destruction. It’s just so windy, the fires are spreading fast.

The fires are north of town, and my house and school are both south of town, so no real danger of fire to my house or school, but the winds are blowing from the north, so the smoke is all coming my way. This morning before school we got a message on our phones:

We stayed in for recess.

After school, I ran some errands, and while I was in a parking lot, I noticed the sunset. It was very red because of all the smoke.

Ugh. I check the weather before I get out of bed, and the banner photo on the website was a huge, red fire and “L.A. IN FLAMES” emblazoned above. My heart skipped a beat and I worked on reading some maps. I’m glad you’re ok, but my heart aches for those who are in danger.

A good college friend has lived in North Hollywood for decades now. She has lost power but is grateful to God that these fires(as of yesterday, at least) are about miles away. Know that the frozen East Coast is praying for the burning West Coast.

I’m so happy you are ok. I wasn’t sure where your house and school were relative to the fires. Praying for all affected and that the fires don’t come close to you.
