When I went to Oregon for my late uncle’s service a few years back, I learned that he was a member of this Society. Consequently, we family members were escorted onto a boat off the coast, given his cremains, and allowed to scatter him over the Pacific. (I was clinging to the side of the boat the entire time, of course; “No, I’m good! You all go right ahead there!!”)
Well, that’s a heckuva thing. A little weirder than all the AARP stuff that’s coming to my mailbox.
That’s the same company that handled Vern Klotz’s cremation.
