Canceled Card

On the last day of my eighth grade class trip, my debit card stopped working. Fortunately, I had a credit card I could use, but I would have to figure out when I got home.

As it turns out, my card was locked for a suspicious charge, and as it turns out, it WAS a fraudulent charge. I used a company a long time ago to buy a piece of music I needed for church instead of stealing it. They rewarded my honesty by using my card number and charging me $70 for some prescription I didn’t sign up for.

I’m thinking the bank flagged it because this company has done it many times before, and other people have contested the charges, and now the fraud department of the bank automatically stops payment. Good job, bank!

I didn’t lose any money, but I lost time having to get a new card and changing all the things it was paying. Shame on you, music company!

Grrrrr…… Why are people awful? I just don’t get it. I believe there is a special place in hell for people who do this, especially to the elderly. (We are not elderly, but I have heard some stories, and someone tried to rook my folks a few years back.) Grrrrrrr……..

    Good job, bank!

What you said, Lauren. Just wait until you have fraud committed against your Medicare number (voice of experience here) – equally “fun” to resolve.

So glad you did not lose any money…and glad you have a smart bank…and glad those unscrupuless (sp?) were caught in the act.
