Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Digital Demise

I went to use my laptop yesterday, and it wouldn’t boot up. All I got was a black screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left-hand corner.

I don’t think I wrote in my memory archive when I got this. It was a hand-me-down from Samith. I was grateful to get it. I think it was during my Maui years when cash was tight. It has really served me well.

I do think I’ll get a replacement. I’m not past needing an actual computer. Typing posts on my phone is tedious. And I do like a bigger screen for browsing the internet.

Time to start doing some shopping research…

Ugh. Ugh, I say!! If I had an old computer to give you, I totally would.

Ahem the dreaded Black Screen of Death…condolences on your loss…

If this Chromebook ever goes belly up (so to speak), I am toast. It saves all my passwords so I don’t have to remember them. Which means I don’t remember most of them. Which means I would be locked out of life in general if that ever happened.

Guess I ought to think now about that before I am, indeed, toast. Sigh.
