Early in in my stay here in Nebraska, I was talking with Lauren about trying to do some watercolor painting again. Lauren said we should do it together. We went to the store, got some supplies, and painted that night!
AND, we’ve painted every night since then. (With a few exceptions). It’s been fun.
I hope to continue painting at home. We’ve been doing small projects each night, but I think I will switch to a painting that will take several nights to complete.
Last night I tried to use all the leftover paint that was in my palette thingy….

…because I’m flying back to LA today. And Mom is coming with me! Woo hoo!

EDIT: Here’s last night’s painting:

Painting with you was one of the highlights of my summer – thank you! I also hope to continue, and still stand in awe of your talent.
Have a very safe, uneventful flight, and I hope your time with your mom is absolutely fantastic!!
It’s always a super bummer when you leave. 🙁
Can we see the paintings? Please?
Peggy – I went to look, and I only took a picture of the one from last night. Most of them were experiments with color or techniques. Last night I painted some solid-line shapes, then held the paper over the sink while I poured water over it.
I’ll add the picture to the end of the post.
Thanks Brad! I want to start some sort of painting hobby. Watercolor? Or Bob Ross? Soft little trees or happy little trees?
