Vine Vacuation

This is the Home Project portion of my summer, so I’m hoping to get things done outside and inside. Outside is my preference, of course, so I’m starting with the easier things.

This spring, I planted some vines on an arbor. I haven’t done much with vines before, so it was fun experimenting. I started with an unusual vegetable called bittermelon. The vines grew quickly and were beautiful, but they seem to have come to the end of their life span. They aren’t producing any new fruit, and they are turning yellow.

The fruit it did produce was interesting. Bumpy and green, and then ripening to orangey-yellow with red seeds.

It was time to take it all down, though. The arch blocks a part of the lights I just installed, and I want an uninterrupted view.

I also took out my tomato plant. It was fighting a losing battle with disease. I harvested my last tomatoes.

Your willingness to just take down an ARBOR and do something else is astonishing! That plant was so cool! However, I understand that you will make something even more cool.

    Well, God will make it……
