Produce and Plants

I didn’t make much progress on my garden projects yesterday. I started the day with a visit to the farmers market. I got peaches, watermelon, and corn. Mmm…

I also stopped at Home Depot to finally stop resisting my desire to get a couple of plants I’d seen there. They are euphorbias. Euphorbia lactea variegata, to be exact. Their common names include “Dragon Bones” and “White Ghost”. They are pale, and weird, and spectacular. They are also drought-tolerant, and will be great for the pots against my wall.

Very cool plants! I’ve been looking at a few succulents called bunny ears and one that looks like little dolphins. They are houseplants. I grow Lemmon grass in a pot against my wall.

Whew – I’m glad that someone named them Dragon Bones, because that is dead-on.

Let’s hear it for seasonal produce! I brought back 9 peaches from western Colorado and Lloyd devoted them in three days.
