I cleaned up my kitchen plant shelves. I wish I would have taken a “before” picture, because the change is quite striking. I did have to move some plants and get rid of some other ones. Ugh. I do NOT like abandoning plants. It makes me sick to my stomach. But the new arrangement is so nice.
It’s a little hard to see because it’s back-lit. I have some miniature African violets on the top shelf. They got overgrown a while ago, so I twisted off their tops and started them growing again. I couldn’t bear to leave the other pieces of one of them, so I put them in a bigger pot. They are growing like crazy and have TONS of flowers! Yay!
It stands to reason that you would have to get rid of some plants, otherwise you’d drown in them. You gave them a good home, and they’ll turn back into dirt to make more plants someday.

I applaud anyone who can grow African violets. My sister-in-law had the touch…my paternal grandmother…I never got that gene apparently. At the end of my first year of teaching I was presented with a lovely gloxinia. I believe I said out loud “I give it two weeks in my house.” Doubt it even made it that long.
That is absolutely stunning Brad! LOVE it!!Makes me want to be a plant person, but we know how that turns out.
