Today is my first day of school. I’m anxious. Those first-day jitters never go away. I will be SO glad to see the students though. All the planning a papers is a grind, but being with the kids makes it all worth it.
To help calm myself last night, I did my regular exercising – with my new exercise straps! Woo hoo!
Then after exercise, I went swimming. It’s been really warm outside, so the pool water was almost hot. Just like I like it! Mmm… It felt so good…
It was getting dark by that time, so I had all the lights on.

I think every other teacher friend of mine is already back in school, so you’re in the thick of it already, but I would appreciate prayers for a good beginning. I love these kids, and I want their school year to be great!
You got it, friend – praying for all of you.
…and reflection from the lights hanging around your pool made it look as if there were fish in your big rectangular pond there. Ha!
Yes, praying for a great start and a continued good year! What a lovely way to reduce stress at home. You’ve built an incredible oasis of both productivity and calm!
Awww, those pictures are so calming! Like a resort! What a great way to spend the night before school starts. Our school started yesterday. We have free snowballs today (and we had them yesterday too). All the flavors available and I get chocolate. I might branch out and do egg custard.
Because I’m feeling nostalgic……
