Warning: There is a picture of a spider at the end of this post.
I took three very different pictures yesterday, and couldn’t decide which one to share, so I’m sharing them all.
The first one is from a store I went to during the day. I went into the bathroom and saw this graffiti on the stall wall:

I’ve never seen such a thing. It made me wonder what the person was thinking when he wrote it. Is this genuine remorse?
The second picture is from my back yard. I ate outside last night. I should do that more often. It was so peaceful – especially because there was a great sunset:

The third picture was from when I went into my side yard to throw my dinner trash away. A spider was building a web there. I used to see a lot of spiders outside my house, but there are so few now. Is it my pest control company doing its thing? I’m feeling a little guilty about that now. Spiders are good.
Anyway, I got a pretty good picture of it. I don’t know what it is, but I do know it’s not a black or brown widow. (I searched the internet, and it looks like a Eustala Californiensis, a kind of orb weaver. Not harmful to humans at all, except feelings of panic when walking face-first into their webs.)

Awww…. I enjoyed all of your pictures. The remorseful person has some pretty beautiful handwriting. I hope he is apologizing for something small.
Gorgeous sunset and actually a pretty cute spider, too. Go, little spider. – eat the pests!
I’m with you on the graffiti – what ever did the person do that he felt remorseful enough to write about it but nowhere his Mother would ever see?
…and yes, that was a capital sunset there; glad you got to enjoy it outdoors.
…and as spiders go, this one’s a keeper. Insects in general (except for hornet, unfortunately) are on the decline around here as well. Sad…
Your disclaimer reminded me of one of my favorite kids’ books: “there’s a monster at the end of this book.” Great memories.
