I visited a different church yesterday. It’s just down the street from mine. I’ve driven past there on Sundays, and seen lots of people socializing on the sidewalk after services. I decided I wanted to check it out.
There were lots of smiling people there. It sort of reminded me of of the churches my parents belonged to in Texas for some reason.

The service was a standard contemporary liturgy – thirty minutes of songs, thirty minutes of sermon, and a song to send us out. I only knew one of the songs. Hymns are more my wheelhouse.
I’m glad I went. I’d been curious. And now I know what it looks like inside and what the people are like.
I am so glad that you do this – it offers the rest of us a glimpse into other people’s church lives, and that is fantastic!
Those comfortable seats look pretty troublesome for someone like me. it reminds me of the chairs in movie theaters now, which are just an expensive nap.
