I went on a field trip yesterday to a succulent nursery! Woo hoo! It was north and west of my house:

The place was so cool. It looked like a house or something…

…but in the back, there were two big greenhouse areas:

So many beautiful succulents.

I bought stuff. Cool stuff.
A portulacaria afra that’s been trained like a bonsai:

A Sarocaulon herrei

Some astrophytum hybrids

A crassula plegmatoides

And a dyckia variety called “Be Cool”. This actually isn’t a succulent. It’s a drought-tolerant bromeliad. It’s so cool looking!

I did some internet research when I got home. Most of them are difficult to care for. I don’t think I’m going to try super hard. I will care for them like succulents – give them bright light and little water – and see what happens. Good luck, little buddies!
They’re like little living sculptures! I’m glad you had a fun day. ?
Whoops. Emojis don’t translate. 😀
