Choir practice on Thursday nights is two hours long, so we take a break halfway though. Most people just stay sitting in their seats and chat, but I have to get up and walk around – partly because I need to stretch my legs, and partly because I need some fresh air.
I go outside and walk around in the courtyard. I like it. It’s peaceful out there.
Yes, that is an incredibly peaceful setting – I love the light and shadows.
However, TWO HOURS?? I just can’t get over it! I’d skip out after 30 minutes. “I get it – sing this beautifully. On it.”
Has choir ever sung in the courtyard itself? I wonder about those acoustics…
