The other day at church choir practice, there was a big box of lemons for people to take.

They were from someone’s yard. This isn’t new to me, of course. Maui had such giveaways.
But it did make me think of late-summer giveaways in Nebraska or Baltimore…. tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers…
I took a small bag of lemons. I thought I might make some lemonade or something.
Huh. Life literally handed you lemons.
You’re not going to make lemonade. You’re going to leave those lemons in a drawer in your fridge until they shrivel and turn rock hard.
